1895 werd een terrein gekocht aan de Oudendijk nabij de Stevensweg door Ouderling Dirk Meeldijk van de Gereformeerde Kerk om er een houten gebouw neer te zetten. Zondag 28 juli 1895 werd het ingewijd en kreeg de naam "Reoboth" Begin 1900 werden de Kerkdiensten gestaakt vanwege de Spaanse griep. en werden niet meer hervat. 1913 werd het gebouw eigendom van de "Dubbeldamse Werklieden Vereniging" Helpt Elkander voor F.1000 gulden. Het houten gebouw werd gesloopt en werd een stenen lokaal er naast gezet.De eerste steen werd gelegd door Burgemeester G.F.de Roo. Op 10 mei 1913 werd het in gebruik genomen. Tijdens de 2e wereldoorlog werd het gebouw gevorderd door de Duitsers. Vanaf 1945 huurde de Gereformeerde Kerk het gebouw en in 1947 werd het gebouw aangekocht en gebruikt tot 1966. Toen betrok RK de Kerk en noemde het gebouw "Emmanuel". Het luiklokje werd als cadeau bij het 25 jarig bestaan in de klokkenstoel gehangen. In 2015 verkocht de RK het gebouw aan de Kerkelijke Gemeente "Wis en Waarheid" van Henk Stok. Door te weinig animo werd het in 2019 te koop gezet voor %.449.000. Heden is de Filipijnse Christelijke Kerkenvereniging UCCP de eigenaar.
