Bij de schokbeston kwam heel erg vaak monteur Piet de Boer. Die werkte bij ons. Man met zwart haar. Bovenste verhaal van Ton klopt helemaal. MIjn broer Peter en ik zijn toen geintervieuwd door Cathy. Mijn broer Peter heeft ook gewerkt bij Verstraten. Maar toen zaten we al in de Maxwellstraat. Afdeling computers is voortgezet onder de naam QwareICT. (die nog bestaat anno 2021)
Ton Verstraten wordt in het boek "Anders nog iets?" van Caty Groen als een 'technisch genie' omschreven. De opa van de drie zoons, Jan Verstraten, was het bedrijf in 1923 begonnen nadat hij als instrumentenmaker bij het Gemeente Ziekenhuis werkzaam was geweest. Misschien kunnen we nog eens van Jan horen of het een juiste gok was :)
