Haaks op de achterkant van de kleuterschool aan het Geldelozepad lag ook een voor mij onbekend hofje.
Dat zal jouw verhaal kunnen ondersteunen.
1926: Bijltjeshof; nr.1:Bergplaats, nrs.2+3: Bewoond. 1934: Bijltjeshof; nrs. 1-3 Bergplaatsen. 1938: Bijltjeshof; Ingang was Hellingen 114. Vervallen. 1949: Geen vermelding aangaande Bijltjeshof. Wél iets opmerkelijks bij Augustijnenkamp 48. Daar lees ik: M. Gerritsen, woonwagen, staande Hellingen 114. Kijk ik bij Hellingen 114, dan staat er: "Opslagplaats" Hier maak ik uit op dat de Bijltjeshof tussen 1934 en 1938 opgedoekt is. De belendende panden, 112 en 116 waren aanvankelijk bergplaatsen maar in het adresboek 1949 staat het geregistreerd als 'Erf'. Op Dordtenazoeker is nog een woningkaart van Hellingen 114rd te vinden met de vermelding: "ingang Bijltjeshof; vervallen; Nov. '43: vervallen nummer". Een vermelding die al in het AB1938 was opgenomen. Kort samengevat was er op het moment van de foto, naar mijn bescheiden mening, al jaren geen sprake meer van een Bijltjeshof.
Ik deed mezelf wel iets wijzer lijken dan ik ben! Ik dacht op dezelfde kaart toch iets te kunnen lezen dat op Bijltjeshof leek, maar toen ik ter controle op de Beeldbank zocht leverde dat niks op. Maar na gewoon googlen op Bijltjeshof Dordrecht bleek dit inderdaad te bestaan en de goeie plek te zijn. Meer katteogen dan olifantengeheugen, dus!
Maar klopt dat je dan in de diepe krochten van totaal onbekende Dordtse straatjes zit.. Ik heb er zelf geen herinneringen aan (te jong, denk ik.. hoewel ik niet weet wanneer het is afgebroken).
De poort (Goed gezien Ad! Ik denk dat Leen dit ook bedoelde) is inderdaad de toegang naar de Houtkopershof, rechts de Looierstraat. Poort: Hellingen 140 (oud nr: 122). Rechts op de achtergrond het huisje uit de Looierstraat waar ik eerder zo m'n twijfels over had :) 552_317878.
