Die zal dan wel bij de renovatie van 1970 vervangen zijn. Of?
Ik ga een poging wagen: boven de pet van de dirigent is het zogenaamde vieringkruis te zien, op het dak van het kerkkoor, dus. Misschien nog duidelijker: Als we de trompetist (klaroenist?) zonder pet en met bril zien.. en dan iets naar links gaan; dat is onmiskenbaar het torentje van het stadhuis. Ze staan denk ik op een van die uitbouwtjes in de hoeken bovenin de buitengalerij. En de fotograaf leunt een stuk over de railing, waardoor het er allemaal erg raar uit ziet. Helpt en klopt dat, denk je?
Maar je zal ongetwijfeld gelijk hebben want intussen vind ik nog een foto waarvan de begeleidende tekst niet klopt. Sterker nog .. het is de tekst van deze foto :) Zie 552_316119. "Muziekuitvoering door het Leger des Heils op de toren van de Grote Kerk naar aanleiding van zestigjarig bestaan van het Dordrechtse Leger des Heils." Datum of periode 01-10-1949. Maar ja .. welke tekst hoort er dan bij 552_316119? Geen nood! Dit is de tekst: "Het slaan van de eerste paal voor de bouw van de elektriciteitscentrale aan de Baanhoekweg." Datum of periode: 02-01-1935 ‐ 01-01-1936. En dat kan je hier dan weer checken: 552_300831. Milde vorm van verschuiveritus op de Beeldbank! :)
Het is wel diverse keren door m'n hoofd gegaan, maar omdat ik zo gauw niets herkende van het uitzicht heb ik het zo gelaten. Had het even moeten checken natuurlijk. :)

Als de tekst ter linker zijde nu eens verplaatst wordt naar de navolgende afbeeldingen, kunnen we intussen verzinnen over de voor mij onbekende en ongewone plek waar dit kapel van het Leger des Heils van zich laat horen. 552_801087, 552_801089, 552_801090 en 552_801091. Zelfde moment maar op een andere plek: 552_801086.
