deel van het hoekhuis Hoge Bakstraat: 555_14207, torentje gezien door de Hoge Bakstraat richting Korte Parallelweg: 552_761147 en 555_10101. Torentje hoek Rozenhof gezien over het Victoriaplantsoen, (deels achter een boom):552_305299 en 552_314155.
Heel apart Ad dat jij aan deze kantine als jochie ook nog persoonlijke herinneringen hebt. Het torentje Van Strijsingel/ Hoge Bakstraat ( bij de Sluisweg) is overigens wel te zien op foto 552_324644. Ik zoek echter de fotootjes van de koepeltorentjes op de hoeken Hoge Bakstraat/ Havenstraat en Havenstraat/ Rozenhof. Hiervan heb ik inderdaad alleen nog maar een luchtfoto gevonden m.n. 552_330348. Zo ontdekken we samen steeds meer van het mooie Dordt!:)

De onjuiste datum geldt overigens eveneens voor foto 552_305264 waar het bouwbord met de naamsvermelding van aannemersbedrijf Van Driel, zoals door jou vermeld, ook zichtbaar is.
=================================================================== WEDEROPBOUW HOOGE BAKSTRAAT =================================================================== De Hooge Bakstraat wordt weer opgeknapt. N.V. Biscuitfabriek „Victoria" heeft aan de N.V. Bouw- en Beton Mij. v/h P. van Driel, alhier, opgedragen er 7 woningen te herbouwen. Inmiddels is met de werkzaamheden reeds een aanvang genomen. De frissche, lichte woningen, die zullen herrijzen zijn uitsluitend bestemd voor leden van de Vrijwillige Victoria Brandweer. Verwacht wordt, dat de huizen ca. half November zullen kunnen worden betrokken. =================================================================== Bouwjaar van de kantine is ook 1941.
In de Hoge Bakstraat zijn na WO II woningen terug gekomen, zie hiervoor 552_305264. Op de hoek Hoge Bakstraat/ Havenstraat is gelijktijdig de kantine voor de Victoria gebouwd. Deze herstelde hoek is o.a. te zien op 552_324649. Zoals het was kunnen we o.a. zien op 555_14207, 555_14801. Een duidelijke foto van het voormalige hoekpand Hoge Bakstraat/ Havenstraat ben ik helaas nog niet tegen gekomen. Deze volledige hoek die verloren is gegaan tijdens WO II behoorde eveneens tot de ontwikkeling van de woningbouw waarbij het initiatief lag bij de Levensverzekering Maatschappij Dordrecht. In 1998 is er interessant en uitgebreid boekje uitgegeven samengesteld door bewoners en oud-bewoners van de Rozenhof ter gelegenheid van het eeuwfeest van het ensemble Rozenhof ( 1898-1998) Het betreft het gehele bij elkaar behorende woningbouwcomplex omsloten door de Van Strijsingel, Hoge Bakstraat, Havenstraat, Koninginnestraat.
