Een stukje uit dit bestemmingsplan: "3.2.2 Ontwikkelingslocaties Uitbreiding begraafplaats De begraafplaats wordt ontsloten via de Meur singstraat, de Seniorstraat en de Van Eesteren- singel. De afsluiting van de van Eesterensingel ten behoeve van de uitbreiding van de begraaf- plaats heeft geen noemenswaardig effect op de verkeersafwikkeling in de nabijheid van de be- graafplaats. In de huidige situatie zijn 168 parkeerplaatsen aanwezig. Uit parkeertellingen is gebleken dat de aanwezige parkeerruimte in geen enkel geval volledig werd benut, ook niet tijdens de avondopstelling van de Mijlpaal; er werden maximaal 126 plaatsen gebruikt. Als gevolg van de uitbreiding van de begraafplaats verdwijnen er 23 parkeerplaatsen bij de Mijlpaal, 21 parkeerplaatsen bij het rioolgemaal, acht parkeerplaatsen in de Meursingstraat en elf parkeerplaatsen in de Seniorstraat. In totaal resteren er dan 105 parkeerplaatsen. Conform het ASVV2004 dienen in Alblasserdam, een matig stedelijk gebied, gemiddeld 23 par- keerplaatsen voor een begraafplaats te worden gerealiseerd. Er worden dertig nieuwe parkeer- plaatsen gerealiseerd omdat er ook een nieuwe aula bij de begraafplaats wordt gebouwd. Daarentegen wordt de Mijlpaal gesloopt voor de uitbreiding van de begraafplaats waardoor de parkeervraag in het gebied afneemt."
