Laurens van Bohemen was tot 1974 wethouder in Dordrecht. Zijn bloedgroep was ARP en hij is begraven op de Essenhof net zoals Piet Liefaart. Dat Liefaart een waterpijp laat zien, toont zijn betrokkenheid bij het opsporen van harde en softe drugs in Dordrecht. Dat was zeer actueel rond 1971. In landelijke media kreeg Dordt toen als drugsstad een bepaalde naam. Tweede van links was burgemeester mr. j.J. van der Lee, die in 1973 de eerste PvdA burgemeester werd in het Zuiden: Eindhoven dus. Later ging hij door naar een rol bij de Raad van State. Toen hij overleed (95 jaar) kwam via bemiddeling van museum-directeur Peter Schoon kunst in Dordts bezit via de erfenis. Van der Lee was zijn Dordtse tijd niet vergeten
