In je eerste commentaar spreek je van een gevel aan de binnenzijde, bedoel je daar een binnenmuur mee? Dit is toch de buitengevel van de rechter vleugel aan het Achterom? Links de ingang van de Stedelijke Bewaarschool, een deur met kort trapje. 551_30031. Het zal voor een betere lichtinval zijn dat de ramen voor de lokalen werden vergroot. Toch typisch dat ze voor dit gebouw kozen terwijl het als een ongezond gebouw bekend stond, maar waarschijnlijk dan toch beter dan in het Hof.
Te meer daar het hier om onbeschreven afbeeldingen gaat...
Doet me meteen denken aan de kleuterschool Kabouterland aan de Heerheymanssuysstraat/Vest. Die school was ook midden 19e eeuw opgericht en maakte gebruik van het aloude H. Geest- en Pesthuis van de Nieuwkerk. Ik denk dat we daar te maken hebben met een soortgelijke verbouwing van veel oudere panden, wellicht middeleeuws (Henk Boshoven heeft niet voor niets ook foto's van de kap van het hoofdgebouw gemaakt..) Foto's van de binnenplaats tonen een zelfde situatie als ontworpen op deze tekening, zie bijv. 554_33607 of 554_33608. Helaas ook 'gewoon' gesloopt in 1969.
