Het jubileum werd in intieme kring herdacht ten huize van de 73 jarige oprichter van dit bedrijf de heer J. Lips Bzn.. Ook de burgemeester mr. dr. Wytema kwam die ochtend met felicitaties en de heer B.H.M Lips deelde het bericht dat het H.M. de Koningin behaagt heeft hem (J. Lips Bzn.) te benoemen tot officier in de orde van Oranje Nassau. De commissarissen van de N.V. boden de heer Lips een doek van de Dordtse schilder, Roeland Lary aan. De volgende volgde een zeer druk bezochte receptie.
