Hans: ” Wat leuk om deze foto te zien! Op de foto links zit mijn nicht Corry, naast haar inderdaad Aad en de mevrouw daar tegenover met zonnebril is mijn tante Stien, moeder van Corry. Tante Stien was getrouwd met mijn oom Hans Schoon (ben ik naar vernoemd), eigenaar van het abattoir aan de Markettenweg in de jaren 50. Mijn oom Hans was ook eigenaar van de 2e Jachthaven, waar dochter Corry de dagelijkse leiding kreeg. De mannen op de rug (her)ken ik niet.” Een korte blik in een adresboek ondersteunt ook het abattoir-deel van het verhaal ;) "J. Schoon & Zn., Handel in slachtproducten, abattoir, Markettenweg 14" (J. Johannes (Hans) Schoon). Tegelijkertijd schreef ik ook op de Facebookpagina van het RAD bij deze foto dat de grondlegger van het "Vlot van Schoon" de op 3-3-1883 in Werkendam geboren Willem Schoon was, ijzerwerker van beroep en ook beheerder van een vlot in de Voorstraatshaven, wat ook bekend stond als het "Vlot van Schoon", naast het beheer repareerde hij o.a. ook roeiboten daar. Ik ga er vanuit, dat Johannes Schoon, de man van Francina (Stien), zijn zoon was. Willem Schoon huurde al voor de oorlog een deel van de dam die de afscheiding vormde tussen het Wantij en de 2e Jachthaven en vroeg in 1938 een vergunning voor het plaatsen van een overkapping. Dus ja, we kijken hier naar het terras behorende bij de opstallen van het “Vlot van Schoon”.
Er zijn er die zeggen dat dit het Vlot van Schoon is in de 2e Jachthaven en dat de weduwe Schoon (Francina (Sien) Schuitman) daar op de foto zit samen met haar dochter Corrie. Ik vermoed dat de man in het witte overhemd dan de man van Corrie is, Aad Corbeau. Op de achtergrond de bomen van het Wantijpark. Zie ook 552_332625. Als ik het goed heb runde Pieter Teunis Hulst, een voormalig sleepbootkapitein het watersportbedrijf "Waterlust" en woonde tot 1980 aan boord van de "Leo" in de 2e Jachthaven.
