Het Oranjepark werd gereserveerd voor deze tentoonstelling van begin januari tot einde augustus 1897. Deze foto is er één uit een serie van 40. Lees daarvoor De Dordrechtsche Courant, 1898-03-04; p. 2
"De Erven R. de Jonge, Koek- en Banketbakkerij, Fabriek van Chocolaad en Suikerwerken, Opgericht 1847. Prinsenstraat 17, hoek Kalkstraat." Later kwam Jan van den Steenhoven in dit pand. Reinhart de Jonge nam op 2 april 1847 de koekbakkerij en kruideniersaffaire van de heer A. de Visser over in de Prinsenstraat D 120 (wat dus hetzelfde pand betreft), die het op zijn beurt in 1832 van franciscus milort kocht. Het was niet de enige uitdaging die hij dat jaar aanging. Op 30 juni trad hij ook nog in het huwelijk met Johanna Adriana van Altena. Hij overleed op 11-03-1861 op 47 jarige leeftijd. De foto werd gemaakt door Dirk Gerardus Schnabel ("Fluoz"), die was aangewezen als de terrein-photograaf, tijdens de tentoonstelling "Oud-Dordt" georganiseerd door de "Vereeniging voor Vak en Kunst" welke in 1897 op die manier haar 10-jarig bestaan wilde herdenken.
