=================================================================== In 1869 werd het voor Japan bestemde houten schroefstoom-oorlogsschip Nits-Sin, wat overigens 'Steeds Voorwaarts' betekent, gebouwd bij de scheepsbouwmeesters C. Gips & Zonen te Dordrecht, te water gelaten. De Nits-Sin, een driemaster, werd voortbewogen door zeilvermogen, terwijl in geval van nood, stoomvermogen kon worden toegepast. In Brouwershaven werd het geschut aangebracht, te weten twee draaibare stukken geschut één op het voor-,en één op het achterdek, benevens een grote commandobrug terwijl eerder te Hellevoetsluis het schip van ketels werd voorzien. Het schip werd onder commando van Nederlandse Marineofficieren naar Japan gevaren met een verdere Nederlandse Koopvaardijbemanning. =================================================================== Deze werf leverde ook de Kai-Yoo-Mar aan Japan; zie 552_316475. =================================================================== De Dordrechtsche Courant, 1870-04-29; p. 1: =================================================================== Door de Ned. Dit schip, met hulpstoomvermogen, is, voor rekening van het Japansche gouvernement door tusschenkomst der Ned. Handel-maatschappij, alhier gebouwd door de scheepsbouwmeesters de heeren C.
