Hier zijn commentaar. Uit de krant van 1 September 1902. Plaatselijk Nieuws. Dordrecht, 30 Augustus. Nog geen twee jaren geleden vestigde de Dordtsche IJzerhandel, voorheen Veth &Co., zich in het pand aan de Voorstraat nr. 200 alhier. De wijze, waarop die zaak werd gedreven, en de hoedanigheid alsmede de prijs harer artikelen deden haar in korten tijd zoodanige vlucht nemen, dat die winkel veel te klein werd en naar ruimere gelegenheid moest worden uitgezien. Spoedig was die gevonden in het huis op den hoek der Wijnbrug, Voorstraat 203, waar de nieuwe winkel heden avond geopend is. Onder het vele, dat daar de aandacht trekt, verdienen vooral genoemd de rijke sortering modern koperwerk voor huis- en kamerversiering, de keurige bascules en de verscheidenheid in gewaarborgd giftvrije emailartikelen. Uiteraard bestaat er in Dordt geen 'hoek Voorstraat-Wijnstraat'; dat moet natuurlijk Wijnbrug zijn. Vergelijk met bijv. 552_404397 waarop het latere pand is afgebeeld (dat er nu nog staat). Dit is dus de voorganger.. die had ik nog niet vaak gezien! Het lijkt er op dat de zijmuren zijn blijven staan. Ook het pand wat nog net links te zien is, staat er nog.
