Dat noem ik nog eens een facelift. Op de panoramafoto 552_406248 uit 1900 zie je dat de laatste hand aan dat pand wordt gelegd. Zie ook 555_21642.
Er zit nog enige afstand tussen deze panden en de nieuwbouw uit 1933. Rond 1950 wordt dit gat opgevuld, en wordt het rechterpand hierboven (met de grote zonwering) gesloopt; het linkerpand blijft echter nog jaren staan; zie bijv. 737_1118 waarop van rechts naar links het pand uit 1933, het pand van rond 1950 en het oudere rechterdeel van het pand hierboven nog net te zien is. Wanneer nu ook uiteindelijk dat laatste rechterstuk is gesloopt (want het staat er tegenwoordig niet meer) is mij onbekend.
Begin jaren 30 zijn deze panden gesloopt en in 1933 zijn hier 4 winkels en een Lunchroom gebouwd met de nummering Blauwpoortsplein 5 t/m 13 Op nummer 13 heeft vele jaren A.Krijgsman en later zijn zoon Arie Krijgsman het café de Pelikaan gerund.
