De stortgoot vanuit de open loods met lessenaarsdak vulde de betonkar, links vooraan op de voorgrond. Met het smalspoor ( werd steeds verlegd) werd de beton op de juiste locatie gebracht. Ik denk dat de helling of talud die Andrew noemde de voorraad zand of grind is, die nodig is voor het maken van beton. Betoncentrales waren er nog niet. Het beton werd in die tijd nog op de bouw vervaardigd. De geschiedenis van de Nederlandse betonmortelindustrie begint op 19 mei 1947 met de oprichting van de NV Betonmortelfabriek Rotterdam Befaro, die al snel werd gevolgd door andere centrales. De wederopbouw was toen net op gang gekomen. Vooral in de eerste naoorlogse jaren waren motorvoertuigen ook nog eens schaars. Dankzij de Marshall-hulp konden de eerste betonmortelbedrijven truckmixers aanschaffen. Sommige van deze Amerikaanse Agitators hebben tot in de jaren '60 van de vorige eeuw dienst gedaan. In 1957 telde ons land nog maar negen betoncentrales.
Door de betonmolen op hoogte op te stellen heb je met behulp van lange stortgoten een groot bereik, rechts in het midden van het houten bouwwerk, zie je een aanvoer steiger voor de kruiwagens. Een heistelling heeft minimaal 3 tuien nodig om veilig te kunnen werken. Bij het verplaatsen mag je er dan in zo'n geval steeds maar één losmaken, hier zijn minstens 4 tuien aangebracht. Een held is via het klossenbeen richting het rammelwiel (-,schijf) geklommen.
Kan de opstelling rechts daarvan onder een afdak de aandrijving/lier zijn die blijkbaar op een stapel dwarsliggers moest staan voor de hoogte? De hellingbaan van zand? weer rechts daarvan lijkt er ook iets mee te maken hebben, de tuidraden van de heibok (héél dunnetjes zichtbaar) lopen ook ergens daarheen maar eindigen buiten beeld.
