Hedenmorgen is aan de Aert van Nesstraat te Rotterdam de eerste paal in de grond geslagen voor een gebouw, dat twee totaal verschillende instellingen zal gaan herbergen. De architecten Jos en Leo de Jonge hadden aanvankelijk ter plaatse een garage voor het bedrijf Ben Maltha ontworpen, met daarboven vijf verdiepingen, die bestemming zouden krijgen van kantoorruimte. De naast het terrein in kwestie gelegen r.-k. meisjeskweekschool St. Lucia, die om een nieuw gebouw verlegen zit, is, horend van dit project, met de aannemersfirma in contact getreden, hetgeen ertoe geleid heeft, dat er nu boven de garage in vier verdiepingen een kweekschool wordt gebouwd. Acht grote „overheaddeuren" geven toegang tot dit bedrijf, dat eenvoudig en doeltreffend van opzet. Het bevat o.m. een wasplaats, een doorsmeerstation en een showroom.
