Het reliëf is nooit zoek geweest.. Was erbij toen de brongieter het verplaatste van politiepost naar Bankastraat 60...waar opnieuw een onthulling plaatsvond !

Nadat de politiepost was opgeheven bleek de plaquette verdwenen te zijn. (De gevel bekijkend, begrijp ik niet waar op de gevel van de politiepost, de plaquette werd bevestigd.) Dichter Cees Buddingh' krijgt een gedenkteken. Buddingh' (1918-1985) kreeg grote bekendheid met zijn humoristische, relativerende poëzie. Zijn unieke voordracht maakte hem tot een geliefde 'performing poet'. Het kunstwerk is een reliëf gemaakt door kunstenares Hanneke Hemelaar. Zij gebruikte hiervoor foto's die de weduwe Buddingh' haar leende. Zijn weduwe onthult het gedenkteken vandaag in Dordrecht. Het kunstwerk is eigendom van de politie Zuid-Holland-Zuid. Het komt aan de buitenmuur van een politiepost in de Bankastraat te hangen. Buddingh' woonde en werkte bijna zijn leven lang in die straat. De tekst bij het reliëf luidt: 'C. Buddingh' 1918-1985, dichter van de werkelijkheid van alledag. Politie Zuid-Holland-Zuid, dichter op de alledaagse werkelijkheid'.
