De Reederij boot kreeg een groot gat in de voorsteven net boven de waterlijn, maar kon op eigen kracht naar de werf in Krimpen a/d Lek varen. De Stolzenfels kreeg averij aan een van harer raderen. De aanvaring moet te wijten zijn geweest door een misverstand. 27 jaar droeg het de kleuren van de Keulse reder en onderhield het een lijndienst tussen Düsseldorf en Mainz voor goederen- en personenvervoer totdat het naar Nederland werd gehaald door de „Nederlandse Stoomboot Reederij“ waar het na aanpassingen werd omgedoopt tot „Amicitia“. Tijdens een luchtaanval in Keulen in mei 1942 brandde het volledig uit en zonk. In 1945 werd het geborgen en gesloopt. Om verwarring te voorkomen dan ook nog de vermelding dat in 1929 de "Undine", die in 1893 bij dezelfde werf in Kinderdijk en voor dezelfde reder in Keulen werd gebouwd, omgedoopt werd in "Stolzenfels II". Maar ook dit schip heeft slechte herinneringen aan de oorlog want in 1945 overleefde het een artilleriebeschieting bij Keuken-Stammheim niet! In 1979 kwam er nog een derde.
