Op 1 november 1985 transporteerde de firma A. Hak uit Ridderkerk deze gloeioven naar de staaldraadfabriek Nedstaal in Alblasserdam. De oven kwam uit Oostenrijk, maar werd bij Siemerink Tank- en Apparatenbouw in Geertruidenberg geassembleerd. Een schip bracht de oven van Geertruidenberg naar Alblasserdam. De laatste 2 kilometer werd per as afgelegd. Het transport over de weg liep vertraging op, omdat in de buurt van de in aanbouw zijnde Noordtunnel, een wegdeel onverwacht was opgebroken. Met man en macht werd het straatwerk teruggelegd om het transport veilig te laten passeren. Op de achtergrond zijn meerdere betonnen viaduct overspanningen van de oude Rijksweg 15, nu N915, te zien. Het speciale en zware voertuig is gebouwd door FTF. (Floor’s Truck Trailer Fabriek) Deze Hollandse firma bouwde tussen 1966 en 1995 in totaal 668 zware trucks. De cabine is gemaakt bij Motorpanels in Engeland. Voor de aandrijving zorgde een Amerikaanse Detroit tweetakt dieselmotor en daarvan was de Dordtse firma Roodenburg in de Merwedestraat dealer. De brede en 11,5 ton wegende gloeioven ligt op een Nooteboom dieplader. Zowel de FTF trekker als de Nooteboom trailer zijn in het Gelderse Wijchen gebouwd.
