Ik bedoelde over de streep helpen dat het toch de Riedijkshaven is, en niet Lijnbaans- of Houthaven. Op 555_16263 zijn meerdere panden te herkennen die ook op deze (dus 552_390641-004) te zien zijn, zij het vanuit de andere kant gefotografeerd.
Het lijkt er echter op dat de toren in rudimentaire vorm langer is blijven bestaan (sterk verbouwd). De bebouwing aan de Houthaven is niet aaneengesloten (zoals op deze foto), en ook komt een oude toren met trapgevel daar onmogelijk voor. Wellicht helpt 555_16263 u over de streep? De bebouwing is daar nog grotendeels één op één te vergelijken met de bebouwing op de foto hier (of andere versies ervan, zoals 552_313767).
Waar we naar kijken is de toren (restant middeleeuwse stadsmuur) die bekend staat onder meerdere namen: Berthout Loenis-, Martens- of Ronde toren (typ dat maar in in de zoekmachine; zie bijv. 551_30091, 551_40075 of 551_ 40048). Deze toren is voor zover ik weet slechts op deze foto te zien, aangezien hij al vroeg is gesloopt voor de gashouders die hier op een gegeven moment gebouwd werden. De toren stond met zijn voorgevel aan de Bleijenhoek, en is hier vanaf de achterzijde (aan de Riedijkshaven) te zien.
De rechter foto is gelijk aan 552_403239. Wat de rechter foto aangaat ben ik het met de beschrijving niet eens, dus ook niet bij die van 552_403239, temeer dat hier op de foto zelf staat dat het de Lijnbaan betreft, dus denk ik dat dit de Lijnbaanshaven of eigenlijk nog meer de Houthaven is, maar sowieso niet de Riedijkshaven. Zie dus ook 552_130833, het kaartje van 1873. Dan toch ook maar even naar 551_35287 kijken, naar het commentaar van Pim van der Wijk die spreekt van een koepel (uitbouw/erker?) die daar maar ook hier én op de tekening zichtbaar is. De Houthaven werd ook wel eens Lijnbaanshaven genoemd (De Dordrechtsche Courant, 1888-05-30; p. 5), maar heette zo in feite niet, die naam behoorde toe aan de haven ten oosten en parallel gelegen van en aan de Riedijkshaven waar je nu ongeveer de Noorderstraat hebt .
