Mogelijk dat er die dag ook bomen aan de Middelweg zijn geplant, maar daar zijn deze foto's niet gemaakt, i.i.g. de meeste niet. Ze behoren toe aan de serie van 554_30422. Verder neem ik aan dat De Lange de Middelweg bedoelt en niet de Middenweg ...
Ik heb van af 1963 tot 1969 op deze school gezeten en dus ook de verhuizing mee gemaakt van de Beinemastraat naar H.P. Kosterstraat. Wel kregen we gymnastiek in de gymzaal van de Merwedeschool.
Links de uit hout opgetrokken Rehobothschool aan de H.P. Kosterstraat.
Deze stond tot ca. 1966 vlak naast de Mewedeschool aan de Beinemastraat maar moest daar weg vanwege de aanleg van de rondweg. Het houten schooltje is er al lang niet meer. Op de achtergrond het koelwatergebouw van het GEB. Van hieruit werd koelwater naar de Centrale Merwedehaven 4 gepompt door buizen met een inwendige diameter van 2.10 m. De centrale is er niet meer maar de leiding nog wel.
