Zo schrijft hij onder meer: =================================================================== "Op den top en ter zijde van den trapgevel staan 2 gedraaide kolommen met geprofileerde kraagsteenen; onder de eerste trap 2 koppen, terwijl bij de 5e trap rechts een kleine en links een groote os en relief is aangebracht." =================================================================== Ook in het boekje "Oude gebouwen te Dordrecht", uitgegeven in 1900 door de vereniging tot instandhouding van oude gebouwen, wordt er met geen woord over de os op de top gerept. Zou B Aanholt bij 555_12562 het niet bij het rechte eind kunnen hebben? Ik krijg ook het idee dat de os bovenop berust op fantasie en een afgeleide is van de andere twee os figuren (de grote en de kleine).
Maar de oude tekening stamt uit 1956 en betreft een restauratieplan... dat kan dus al fantasie zijn. Wie weet er oude foto's te vinden (van vóór de jaren '80) waar deze os daadwerkelijk op staat? Op de oude foto's die ik aantrof op de Beeldbank is deze namelijk nergens te zien, maar ik kan er uiteraard overheen hebben gekeken.
de afd.Monumentenzorg het ontbreken van de os onder de aandacht gebracht. Aan de hand van oude foto's is de os toen nagemaakt en aan het einde van de restauratie in 1986 haar huidige plaats gekregen. Wie de 1e ontwerper en maker is geweest is mij onbekend.
