Aanleg Oranjelaan vanaf Groenedijk naar Noordendijk. Gezien de lengte van de persleiding en in de wetenschap dat de 'stoompersmachine', de zandzuiger dus, zich in het Wantij voor de brug bevond [554_10072], moeten deze mannen zich ongeveer ter hoogte van villa Noordhove of iets verder bevonden hebben. [555_16116] Ook het terrein van de Bond voor Lichamelijke opvoeding is op deze wijze tegelijkertijd opgehoogd. [552_315464]. Tot dusver was de Staart alleen via de Noordendijk bereikbaar, waarbij de Groenedijk ook een belangrijke rol speelde in de ontsluiting van de Staart via de Noordendijk. Er waren protesten (1908) om een weg, grofweg 30 mtr breed en die ook nog eens ruim 1,2 meter op te hogen, aan te leggen alleen om het terrein van de Bond voor Lichamelijk Opvoeding te bereiken.
