Ook op een Duitse luchtfoto uit 1940 is dat driehoekje te zien. Ik had eigenlijk ook wel verwacht vanuit hier iets van de Stikstofbindings Industrie Nederland N.V. en de brugkranen aan de Zeehaven te zien. Dus dan is dat grote gebouw rechts de school aan de Jacob Marisstraat?
Maar het is vooral de splitsing op zich en het gemis van wat ik rechtdoor zou moeten kunnen zien wat mij laat twijfelen. Op de splitsing zie je op- en afritten zoals gebruikelijk bij een wegaansluiting op een dijk met te groot hoogteverschil. Het hoogteverschil van de Oudendijk t.o.v. de Nieuwe Weg is nihil waardoor een dergelijke afsplitsing niet nodig is en wat je bijvoorbeeld ook goed op afbeelding 555_30187 kan zien. Er is op deze [552_308629] afbeelding ook geen 'lantaarnpaal' en telegraafpaal te zien.
