Hier is een hijsmast bezig de ruim 100 meter lange kolentransportband te plaatsen die liep van het brekergebouw tot ketelhuis. Uiterst links het ketelhuis en rechts daarvan de machinezaal waar in 1954 vier 50 megawatt turbo-generatoren stonden. Totaal waren vijf miljoen bakstenen nodig voor de fabriek. De inwendige onderbouw tot 9,25 m was van beton en vooral de turbinefundaties waren zeer zwaar en massief uitgevoerd. Stonden los van het gebouw om trillingen te verminderen. De CM 1 en 2 werden ontworpen door de architect H. Fels. Rond 1982 werd deze markante fabriek afgebroken na slechts dertig jaar bestaan te hebben.
