De goede man mag echter niet verantwoordelijk gehouden worden voor het jaren zeventig kantoorgebouw waarvoor een deel van de creatie van Van Ravesteyn werd gesloopt. (Kijk nog even terug op 552_130099 en huil met me mee!) Tegenwoordig het onderkomen van het Nationaal Onderwijsmuseum. Geheel rechts is nog het rechtse deel te zien van de twee-onder-één-kap woning aan de Kilwijkstraat, de voormalige woning op nummer 1 van rentmeester Jan Flach en sinds kort de pastorie van de Grote Kerk. Eerder woonden in dit pand de familie C. van Herwijnen (zie 309_24338) en daarop volgend de familie W. van Twist.
