In 1986 werd Générale Biscuit overgenomen door BSN-Gervais-Danone dat in 1994 haar naam wijzigde in Groupe Danone. De groep koos ervoor om voluit het koekjesmerk LU te promoten. Tot in 1992 werd er in Dordrecht nog geproduceerd onder de merknaam Victoria. In 2002 sloot uiteindelijk ook de koekjesfabriek en werd de productie overgebracht naar Herentals in België. De LU biscuits kennen in Nederland een lange historie. Het voormalig bedrijf LU, General Biscuits Nederland B.V. ontstond toen in 1977 Victoria (opgericht in 1896) en LiGA (opgericht in 1920) samengingen. LU, General Biscuits Nederland B.V. is later overgenomen door Mondelez. Mondelez Nederland B.V. is gevestigd in Oosterhout en brengt in Nederland de bekende biscuit merken LiGA en LU op de markt.
