Inderdaad Dr.van de Ree. Bedankt Andrew.
Ik denk dus dat de schermen tijdens de bouw van de Blauwe Tunnel geplaatst zijn. Het na de botsing (28-11-1996) gekantelde treindeel (motorwagen van de dubbeldekker) waar de heer Vink over schrijft, lag ter hoogte van het huidige adres Max Gootelaan 501, tegen de vangrail. De daadwerkelijk botsing van 2 treinen, rijdend op en in hetzelfde spoor en richting waarbij een Beneluxtrein en een dubbeldekker betrokken waren vond een klein stukje verder zuidwaarts plaats ter hoogte van de voormalige overweg in de even voormalige Achterweg. De machinist had een rood sein gemist, het systeem wat na zoiets in werking moet komen om erger te voorkomen faalde, met het gevolg dat de dubbeldekker de Beneluxtrein in de flank reed.
