Aan de rook is te zien dat erop kolen gestookt werd. In deze situatie had de centrale een vermogen van 200 megawatt. Uiteindelijk met de twee uitbreidingen in de zestiger jaren kwam het uit op 500 megawatt. Het deel op de foto werd in gesloopt en de CM3 en 4 in 1998-2000. Dordrecht speelt geen rol meer in de stroomvoorziening.
