Ik zal het commentaar bij die plaatjes ook aanpassen, dan kan iedereen die op Armenhuis zoekt het ook vinden.
Ik zie het zo: afgaand op het onderschrift van 552_231745 en Lips (p.561) en moet het Pesthuis op de hoek van de Heerheymansuysstraat en de Vest gestaan hebben. Later was dit het gebouw van Kabouterland, gesloopt in mei 1966. Iets zuidelijker aan de Vest, meer richting Stek/Mariënbornstraat bevond zich nog een instelling, nl. het Armhuis (zie bijv. Lips p.552) waar de merkwaardige combinatie van wezen en ouden van dagen was ondergebracht. Dit gebouw kwam uit 1706 en is afgebrand in 1913 waarna daar de manege en het Archiefgebouw zijn gekomen. Luchtfoto 552_322699 geeft dat blokje nog goed weer. Pesthuis en Armhuis lagen dus dicht bij elkaar waardoor ze nogal eens met elkaar verwisseld worden, zo ook hier. Ik denk dan ook dat de plattegronden 552_260284 en 552_260285 eigenlijk bij het Armhuis horen i.p.v. het Pesthuis.
Ik betwijfel ook of het er wel bij gehoord kan hebben. Maar het is wel een opvallend pand daar. Op een enkele luchtfoto is het beter te zien.
Nu heeft het Pesthuis volgens mij zuidelijker gestaan, voorbij de hoek met de Marienbornstraat...
Het pand dat ik bedoel is niét het pand met het ronde raampje op 554_33691, maar dichterbij, rechts van de lantaren met een iets lichtere kleur en het lijkt wel of daar ook een bushaltepaal staat. De andere genoemde foto's zijn een stukje verderop gemaakt, een aantal nog voorbij Stek/Stekstraat.
Helaas het pand waar het mij om gaat staat op geen van de foto's. De foto's die Ad noemt betreffen De Harmonie en omgeving, dus tussen Steegoversloot en Stek. Maar hier zitten we tussen Marienbornstraat en Heerheymansuysstraat. Alleen op de foto van WimS is het pand nog nét te zien tussen de lantarenpaal en het wat hogere blokje huizen. Het heeft een steile kap, evenwijdig aan de straat, het lijkt me een behoorlijk oud pand. Temeer interessant omdat op die plaats ook het H. Geest- en Pesthuis ter Nieuwerkerk heeft gestaan.
