Maar aan de hand van wat?
De archivaris , Jan v.d. Maas schrijft als mogelijke locatie Crabbehof. We hebben nu drie mogelijke locaties, interessant. Ook in deze site https://apudthuredrech.nl/tag/heisterbach/ staat : Heisterbach was een Cistercienzerklooster (orde gesticht in ca 1100) dat van graaf Dirk VII rond 1200 veel schenkingen kreeg. Het zou zelfs het patronaat ( = bescherming ) van de Grote Kerk in Dordrecht en de kerk van Sliedrecht gehad hebben. Waarom zouden de Dordtenaren tegen dit zeer kleine Cistercienzerklooster ( niet meer dan een hofstede) geweest zijn? Omdat er reeds een Cistercienzerklooster van formaat in de stad was m.n. het St Agnietenklooster/ St Agnesklooster op de huidige locatie van het Dordts Museum, zie voor commentaar ook 552_332083. Concurrentie?
"Het geestelijk leven begint zich eerst recht in de 13e eeuw te ontwikkelen. Wij lezen bijv., dat de graaf van Holland het recht van begeving bezat over de pastoorsplaatsen in de Groote kerk (het jus patronatus). Welnu‚ in 1203 gaf hij dat recht aan de kloosterlingen buiten Dordrecht‚ n.l. die te Heysterbach, een klooster, op welks grondslagen thans Crabbehof staat. Daarover waren de Dordtenaars maar weinig gesticht, en om hun misnoegen te toonen gingen de rijke lieden sedert meest naar de Nieuwekerk, waardoor Groote of O. L. V. kerk groote schade aan inkomsten leed." Dit artikel kan je terugvinden in de Dordrechtsche Courant van 5-8-1927, pagina 7. Sindsdien is men allicht wijzer geworden, maar het kan ook zijn dat kennis verloren is gegaan. Mocht Henk ’t Jong dit nog eens voorbij zien komen dan kan hij dat misschien nog eens verduidelijken, maar ik kan een poging van anderen ook wel waarderen :)
