Oldenborgh kwam in 1907 met de Gemeente Dordrecht overeen dat het plantsoen op de hoek van de Singel en de Stationsweg 25 jaar lang onbebouwd zou blijven. Hiervoor betaalde Oldenborgh gedurende die periode jaarlijks 25 gulden aan de gemeentekas. Door de jaren heen had de villa diverse huisnummers, te weten de nummers 174,170, 190, heden 268. Ten tijde van de foto was de oogarts R.T. Branbergen bewoner/eigenaar. In de Dordrechtsche Courant van 2-2-1942 plaatst hij het navolgende: "R.T. BRANBERGEN, houdt zijn gewone spreekuren ten huize van Dr. Meursing en woont in bij Dr. Stenger." Dit zal dan het moment geweest zijn dat hij ten gunste van de Duitse bezetter zijn woning moest verlaten. In het zelfde medium laat hij op 21-2-1942 weten: "R. T. BRANBERGEN OOGARTS Verhuisd naar Voorstraat 130 tegenover de Nieuwbrug. Spreekuren aldaar: Ziekenfonds enz. 8½ tot 10½ Particulier 1 tot 2½ Telefoon blijft 4352" DC 18-3-1942: " VERHUIZINGEN lN DE STAD R.T. Branbergen‚ en gezin, oogarts, Voorstraat 130 rd van Singel 180. M. J. Stiegelis, dienstbode Voorstr. 130 rd van Singel 190." (180 is een zetfout en moest 190 zijn).
