Dat maakte de weg vrij voor zijn huwelijk op 26 mei van dat jaar. In 1931 werd een dochter geboren, MIEPJE WILLY BETSY OOSTING. Vanaf 1926 woonde het gezin in Wageningen aan de Dennenlaan in Wageningen-Hoog, maar Oosting liet op zijn briefpapier hardnekkig ‘Bennekom’ drukken. Meer inwoners van Wageningen-Hoog deden dat toen: de postbezorging van die Wageningse wijk verliep namelijk via het dorp Bennekom (“post Bennekom”); inventaris van het archief van Dr. Ir. W.A.J.
