Werkzaamheden aan de Gorsdijk te 's-Gravendeel welke betrekking hebben op het nieuwe veerhoofd welke in 1929 gereed kwam. Alvorens vanaf het nieuwe veerhoofd een nieuwe verbindingsweg tot stand kwam ter hoogte van de Smidsweg, op de weg naar Maasdam, werd het verkeer in beginsel via de Gorsdijk geleid. De Gorsdijk moest op verschillende punten nog wel verbeterd en verbreed worden om dit mogelijk te maken. Het heeft er alle schijn van dat dit nodig was omdat de 'verkrijging' van de gronden, benodigd voor de aanleg van de oorspronkelijk bedachte weg, een langer tijdpad behoefden dan die van de herinrichting van het veerhoofd zelf. Het werkschip hier afgebeeld zie je ook terug op 1187_1096.
Dat deel van het commentaar kan naar mijn inziens niet juist zijn. Dat het werkzaamheden in de haven van 's-Gravendeel zijn t.b.v. de nieuwe infrastructuur i.v.m. het nieuwe veer denk ik wèl.
