werden veranderd was mij bekend. Dit gebeurde in heel Nederland. Zie 552_309472. Burgemeester Bleeker was hier woedend over. Jouw moeke zal dat ook wel geweten hebben.
Het is het Nassauplein en maakte deel uit van de plannen van voor de oorlog (zie 552_130112) die na de oorlog door de woningnood en gebrek aan geld en tijd van tafel werd geveegd (zie 552_130879). Het westelijk deel van de tegenwoordige Naussauweg heette vroeger de Prinses Julianaweg. (op de foto gezien, aan de onderkant van het vierkantje). Maar op last van de Duitsers kregen de wegen die vernoemd waren naar nog levende leden van het Koninklijk Huis een andere naam (1942). Zo werden de namen van de Koningin Wilhelminastraat en de Prinses Julianaweg gewijzigd in respectievelijk Repelaerstraat en Juliana Stolbergweg. Tijdens de oorlogsjaren woonde mijn moeder in de Koningin Wilhelminastraat en heeft me hier ook over verteld. Zie voor een tekening van het Nassauplein: 552_160366. De nieuwe Prinses Julianaweg is kort na de oorlog met de ontwikkeling van Nieuw-Krispijn op het verlengde van de Brouwersdijk uitgekomen. Ook de naam Juliana van Stolberg vind je weer terug in Nieuw-Krispijn.
