De maker van deze laatste preekstoel was de Amsterdamse beeldhouwer Asmus Frauen. Als groot kenner van de Grote Kerk kun jij vast ook mijn vraag van 7 mnd over het doophek nog beantwoorden. Ik zie met belangstelling je reactie tegemoet:) H.gr., Johan
Uit literatuur blijkt er reeds in 1579 een doophek om de preekstoel in de Augustijnenkerk te zijn aangebracht. Dit doophek werd 'een staeketsel om den predickstoel' genoemd. Links op de foto zien we een doophek uitgevoerd met dichte panelen en gebogen hoeken met hierin opgenomen de banken voor ouderlingen en diakenen. Dit doophek lijkt zo te zien van later data te zijn en te behoren bij het bankenplan uit 1928/1932, zie 552_130377. Is dit doophek tijdens de restauratie in 1965 verwijderd? Wie weet meer? :)
